"The man in the van with a bass in his hand"- Mike Watt!
Whoa, Darrin showed up!
I had this guy turned into....
these! Stamp sized stickers that fit on your trucks or phone or wherever you want them to.
Feel Spectres. Meh- I really haven't been feeling the local openers lately. (and there's tons of amazing bands, they're just not getting chosen for the opening slots. So don't think I'm being an asshole to the scene, just wasn't really feeling these guys)
Watt has a fun to follow tour diary on his site. Just click "read the tour diary".
Patrick snaps some dude doing another wallride.
If "Mall Grab" and "Butthash" read Shark Bait you know it's legit!
We got hats now, but we're having trouble making them fast enough to keep up with demand, so these may never see the web store. (We'll do our best, but Megan is sewing those on by hand!)
Old dudes= giggle fest.
Patrick locks one in.
As nice as it is to get the two bucks in the mail or in space dollars (paypal), the best is just an old-fashioned 'zine trade. Fun, Fun, Fun is a great one; check them out by sending some loot to: 3880 Carroll Dr., Horn Lake, MS 38637
"Kill Yr Parent's Garden" is another great one done by some young punkers in a suburb nestled between Chicago and Milwaukee. They also have a small tape label putting out music too, and I appreciate them sending along a comp and a demo by a super minimalist band, "Mammoth". You can get this one by sending something to- SSF Tapes/Macklin Brundage, 3306 E. Lakeshore Dr., Wonder Lake, IL 60097.
You can see a brief video from the end of the show here. Respect!

We jam econo, it makes a stench
Seth- 50-50
We had a sweet 80's style ramp jam planned with a cookout and a little contest, but we just ended up eating food at my house, deciding the ramp was too wet, and then taking it to our shitty version of "the berrics"- Washington School.
Drew- this might be a bail, backsmith
Grandpa Joe's portrait studio- River Trash, Prairie Drew Dog, and Robbie needs a nickname.
Over the Edge- Robbie and Nate
Dirty Harry villain screen shot.
Wes- nosegrind (emo photo stying to match the songs on his iPod)
We never had an actual contest, but all agreed Patrick won- "fucked up slacks" and all. We'll check the weather next time- I'm gonna puke if I end up at this spot again anytime soon......

Kinda Brutal 'zine
Friday, March 4, 2011
Yeah, I'm sure they'll teach you something
New review in the Leo Romero "skater of the year" issue of THRASHER (apr). It's been a pretty rad week here at Shark Bait HQ with the printing of #42 and then seeing this in the new THRASHER. You can order both on the right side of the screen securely with your Paypal account.... Thanks to everyone who helps make these happen- contributors, ads, people who rip, and mostly Megan for battling the robots (various xerox machines) for me!
