bound to drizown.

This sucks.
Sailboat.

I can stand up inside this pipe with a foot to spare. This and the photo below are part of the famous "Roosevelt tunnels" that everyone's parents tell them not to play in when they're kids. Today it wouldn't have been to hard to die in them. Crazy currents.

The bank on the corner was underwater at one point.

picnic area is later'd. (spillway)

Other dildos looking at the amazing flood.

Bottom of the spillway.

This may be boring to people who aren't from/familiar with Ponca City. I've never seen this shit flood so bad though.

Kansas City star (continued)

Shocktart- money for nothin' and the Liz for free.
The new guy on the right is Dan Buffkin. He fits nicely, and these guys are better than ever.

Bretty Whorton and Angela. I think my flash harshed her mellow a bit, we hadn't been introduced yet.

Courtney and Siemo. Cute stuff.

"Look, drunken and giggly Siemo wants to take our picture." That's ol' Davie Whitmer in the background- I love that dude and hadn't seen him in a real long time. Indeed!

Are you pshched???

Soft spoken Darren is a total rocker-guy once he hits the stage.

These guys are also from Kansas City and are called It's Over. They were okay, but the most intrigueing thing about them was our 5 minute discussion whether the dude holding the acoustic guitar was a dude or chick. Darren cleared up any confusion, but before they went on I had no clue. Apperantly he won "sexiest dude in Kansas City" in some local music mag. Whatever.
Go see The Down Trunks whenever possible.

Kansas City star, you know I are.

I'll show more pics of The Down Trunks show tomorrow. It's been a long weekend.

BRO! skateboarding day.....

Today is national "go skateboarding day" for those who ain't be knowin'. I've been meaning to set up this beautiful krooked "zip-zinger" since I got it for my birthday, and what better day?
Testing her out on some nose-wheelies. Mostly I just wanted to show you guys my freakishly long and campy arms.

Meg approved. Don't worry she isn't one of those chicks who is going to start skateboarding because her dude does. She does know how to push good and I didn't even teach her.

Isn't this a good photo? Not because of me or my mediocre trick (even though it was two times funner on this board), but it's well taken with the sun in the background and all. Stalefish.

Crailtap. So freaking fun....

Aside from the fact you're sitting around in a drainage ditch- this really is a good place to lurk and watch the sunset.

See.
I realize everyday is Go Skateboarding Day and this is kind of a bullshit holiday like Valentine's Day, but it made me make a point to spend as much of the day riding my skateboard as possible. That counts for something. Hopefully everyone got to roll today and will roll tomorrow, and always.

fight fire with fire

The man of the hour and I got stuck with grill duty all day. Pops on the first round. (that's my uncle looking all beach bum in the background)
Ma and Meg at my Grandpa's in Okmulgee, America.
Trippy old reading material on their nightstand.

Stacy is due with a girl in September, so it was a half-ass father's day for the "Load" too.

After some skateboarding and Sushi Train we stayed at Bongload and Stacy Mae's new swank trailer out in west Tulsa.

love cats

We hung out at my parent's house today while the pest guys "bombed" ours to prevent fleas. I got to skate the shallow end of their pool and we took way too many photos of the kittens. Have a good weekend, fools....

The sunny side of the street

Epic free waterpark for kids.
Tabby and Spencer. He went everywhere with us and made cool faces like this one.

The Gardes played at The Opolis. Some small drama went down.

Jeffrey. He's the only person who was psyched on my Richard Speck costume on halloween. We went to a fashion show he was hosting at an art gallery. Pretty goony, but I dig this guy.

Getting arty behind an art gallery while artists are inside talking about their art.

Family photos with beer in them are awesome.

These dudes were behind the gallery.

Why is there a fashion show in Norman, OK? More importantly- what am I doing there? Mostly just eating free sushi.

The gals.

It's cute overload at the Rockovoy's between lil' Spencer and this new guy, Bob. Between all the cuteness and random events, Matt and I did actually go skate a few times. It was so freaking hot if I wasn't skating myself, I was in the shade drinking water and trying not to die. So, sorry no photos of Matt's sweet berlemans on the big bank at the park.

Shakespeare's 4-track.

I like how trife this picture makes our street look, with the trash in the driveway across the street and the dirty little kid. Siemo was in town playing lazer tag with his nephew and came by to visit. In the picture below he thought I was trying to make fun of his high-water pants. I wasn't, but they're pretty sweet, huh?
A Garde and is car. (what a crappy and cliche' sounding caption. I suck.)

Maybe partying will help (so long, Kang)

Last week the Frisby/Deans had a going away party for Kang-Yeun. She was the Frisby's friendly South Korean foreing exchange student. If you follow Shark Bait 'zine- you'll remember a tagline that read "american night very danger". She said that one of the first few nights she was in America. I think they saw a squirrel in the road and she thought it was a huge rat, and that America was creepy place where the rats come out at night. Epic.
Kira and Karen Beans.

The Deans have a pretty epic nature scene in their backyard.

Matthew Frisby- The closest thing I ever had to a big brother. Complete asshole wiseguy. I love this dude.

Hella French Fudge Frisby eating and smoking.
