You can't buy a gun when you're crying...

Here's some new 7.75s. The Board Shop in Tulsa has some of the new 8 inchers. Thanks to everyone who've been buying our boards.
For some reason every rainy day I listen to MC5's 'back in the usa' lp in the morning. This is a quote from "high school" that I had stuck in my head.

Lou hates us. We're trying really hard to get rid of our flea problem.

broken arrow

We're not in it to lose.

Where the bowl meets the street course.
Bank to bank with a handrail.

This morning was a rain out. We covered everything that hadn't been poured yet with plastic in the pouring rain.

I know you're thinking "if they'd pour that flat part in we could totally be skating the bowl right now." That's what I said, but the city made them promise to pour that last so kids wouldn't be lurking, riding, and fucking shit up every night.

Fun box with a ledge on top and eventually a handrail.

We poured these banks yesterday. If they're lumpy in the middle- I'm the guy to find and kick in the nuts. I knee-boarded down them for the most part and take full responsibility.
The Ideal skateparks crew are doing a hell of a job and working their asses off on this project. Hopefully this park turns out good and everyone likes it (yeah, right. someone is always going to bitch). Thanks to Seth, Steve, Cary, and Mark for giving me the chance to help out. My guess is this thing will be rideable in a month or so. (cross your fingers.)

Good fine Americans.

The City of Perry and a gaggle of Christians decided to have a skateboarding and music festival on their Main Street on Friday. It wasn't really a "festival", but it was kind of fun.
We sold a bunch of Smash boards, including the one that Aaron was riding. This is my favorite one I've painted in a while, so I asked the little fellow if I could take his picture with it.

This is "David the Czech"'s house just outside Perry. He really hates the city of Perry and bunch of other shit. The whole outside of his property is lined with signs similar to this one. As Aaron said, someone should really write a book about this dude. Also I'd like to see the use of the word "sickie" or "sickies" used more often. Good job, David.
Perry is a tweaked little town with a bunch of interesting characters. Don't think I mean that in a bad way, I think tweaked little towns are one of the things that make America great.
Oh yeah, I don't think any of the skate photos or obstacles they had to skate are even worth showing you. So, sorry if you cared.

You can't rollerskate in a buffallo herd.

I already had all these songs, and as much as it's one of my favorite albums of the last year or so, mostly I just had to have this for the cover. Pretty creepy and funny, huh?

This ain't no picnic.

We got them today!!! Smash finally sells 8 inch decks.... Here's the first batch.
The ramp has sweet angle iron for coping now. If you blow it, it comes sliding down, but I'm going to get something tomorrow to anchor it in. Somewhere in Oklahoma we need to all get together with a bunch of homeade crap like this and have a "jam".

Baby, baby, baby don't you like being called baby?

Backstage at the Poncan.

I heard The Siemo isn't going to go by The Siemo anymore. I'll probably go ahead and keep calling him The Siemo since I invented The Siemo moniker. Siemo.

Julien is a madman and funny little dude.

The lighting was kind of trippy, sorry if these look shitty.

Jim Gorton tambourining all over the place. Yeah, I know "tambourining" isn't a word.

Kazoo? Fuhgetaboutit.

The Horton and The Siemo.

It was a good show and nice to see they still dick around on stage.

...my wallpaper can't be torn by monkey or unicorn.

If you feel like coming to good old Ponca City- you should watch The Gardes tomorrow night. I know 10 bucks is kind of a raper, but The Poncan is a swank theater. It should be the goods.
Smash is killing it right now. You should see our new t-shirt design. Jon Gambino should have them printed up sometime in the next month. Or something....

Bad look down? Megan says "yes", but I'm feelin' it.

Alladin Sane. Louie Stardust.

Luke Stanley came to PC earlier this week in his new "narc-mobile" of a car. It was pretty funny that we mostly just skated a ledge. It felt like the summer of '99 when we skated in Stillwater pre-skatepark. He's gonna kill it as a dad soon.

The dude on the left is Troy Brookshire's nephew. The kid on the right kind of seemed like a jerk at first, but turned out to be a pretty good shit. Wesley and Tyler.

Rastabilly.

Made a few improvements on the little ramp this evening....
I sawed a broom off to make this sick coping and made the platform stronger.

Don't make fun of my "oversize load" banner. It was hanging in the garage when I bought the house and I always forget to take it down. Actually, you can make fun of it if you want, we do all the time.

If you read the last issue of Shark Bait you know all about "look downs". Before it got hot outside she was wearing white pants and I told her how jealous Friz would have been on her look down. She looked hella French.

Megan is almost as bad as I am about taking pictures of clouds. Ooooh trippy.

Daisy Dukes and knobby knees. She's the best.

Nosepick as it started to sprinkle.
After skating and dicking off this evening we went and ate dinner at our favorite mexican joint. While we were there I saw a balding highway patrolmen looking all serious and mad about life. After closer inspection I realised it was a dude I'd graduated high school with. It made me feel neat that I still ride a skateboard and hate cops even when they're the same age as me. (yeah, not all cops suck, but c'mon 95% are blowin' it.)

Smash gives credit where credit is due.

Dan Bayha
The Down Trunks

Mika Matzen

The Gardes

Lately before I paint our boards I've been writing crap in paint pen on the bottom first. It's usually just something to amuse myself for a moment and then I paint over it. Sometimes you can see a little writing after the finished product is done, which I like the look of, but you can't really read what it says. This time instead of just writing something bad about hippies or something, I decided to give some shout outs to people who I think deserve it. Dan Bayha was everyone's favorite skater around here when we were kids and still rules and is a good friend of mine. Mika Matzen is pretty much the same thing to the Stillwater dudes and still rules and is also a good friend of mine. The Gardes and The Down Trunks are just super good bands that I have pals in. I just thought I'd share these images with you before I paint over them.
