You can't get on my case- when I wear my rock-n-roll face

Some people would comment on how high he went, I'm more concerned about how his ankles felt the next day. Sorry, I have no idea who this kid is.
An out of town shredder was at the park the other day. It was a cool reminder for the locs to step it up.

How do you assholes grow mustaches for an entire month? This is day two and on day three I was over feeling itchy and looking creepy. I truly admire you guys for going through with it, but Mustache March isn't going to be happening for me.

The Brookshires! Kira, Abby, and Troy.

Kira and Abby.

Swishy colors are all the rage.

Here's a pretty funny one for you- I got the new ANKLEPANTS in the mail today and was all excited to read it when I got off work. Then when I get home Mike (Ankle editor) sends me an email asking if I could send it back to him. Apperantly, he lost his master copy from his computer and needed this back so he could scan it back in, make more, and send it out to the people who'd sent in money for the new issue. I liked the way he put it, "Could you help a fellow 'zinester out?" My answer was, "of course". Making a 'zine is a big enough pain in the ass, and without some good friends it's even worse.

Who knows when the next Shark Bait will be done, so you should send a buck or some stamps to my pal Mike and get hip to ANKLEPANTS. If you can't read the address on the envelope, it's
7819 Grey Fox Dr. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 It's on the way, Mike!

Am I acting on something real or am I blowin' it again?

I recently had a complete computer crash and lost some of my photos and pretty much everything I've ever written for Shark Bait. Some photos that were recovered took me down memory lane and I thought I'd share some randomly picked shots with you. Here's Sean Mallory and Andy Smith.
Creepy J. Mascis.

Megan (our first date) and The Doc.

Total bros- Georgie, LSD, Frenchy, Me, and Jiz....

Gambinos and Beans.

Siemo.

McNair wearing a Shark Bait t-shirt at the pipes. (By the way- check out http://skatethe918.com and do your best to help out the Tulsa scene in making their park better- the site will explain everything.)

Casey Kelley and Chad Matheson. One of the last day I lived in "the projects".

Old Smash decks.

Frisbys.

Lou.

Horton and Matheson with Chad's crutches from when he broke his foot "dancing". Epic. Nice weed shirt, hippie.

Fake contest

Erik "Freshy" lipslide.
Some classic old fuckers have come out of the woodwork to skate the park here. Danny Simms and Dan B.
Sorry for the lack of posts lately- my computer is jacked (until next weekend), and I don't have a whole lot of photos stored on Meg's computer to share with you. I'm sure tons of you give a crap anyway....

If the kids are united, they will never be divided.

The Gav and Billy Joe.
Tyler.

A mini ramp in Ponca City. It's about time.

pretty

self

explanatory.

Drew- kickflip up the euro-gap. He's kind of a jock-o.

Zac- ollie up to pop shove-it.
The park is actually pretty fun and it's going to be great to watch these guys progress in a bust-free environment. I come and lurk at the mini-ramps in your towns, now come do the same in mine. Oh yeah, and Happy New Year......

You'll be there with guns and goofy ribbons in your hair.

The Nolls were in town escaping the great Tulsa blackout. I painted myself a Big Boys skateboard. I've been trying really hard to win the semi-rare "fun, fun, fun" Big Boys single on ebay lately and lose everytime. Last night I battled it out with some other guy all the way up to 65.00 dollars and lost. Again.

Hot dog.

I like the one in the middle. I think the rest are already sold. The PC kids are really coming through this x-mas. Thanks, dudes.

Expirementing with wheels. They're too small for my liking, but seem like legit wheels. Anyone ride 53s?

I'm so glad to be pen-pals with Chuck Ivey from Debris'. He sent me these along with some stamps in exchange for a bunch of Shark Baits. It's nice to stay friends with people even after an interview is over. Also got another postcard from Ian MacKaye last week. I love this stuff....

Skater owned and trife as hell.

Lou let me take a million photos of her sitting still in the natural light yeserday.

We're getting married! Probably sometime in May. See the coat she's wearing? Well, she's wanted it forever and I finally bought it (right after purchasing the engagement ring) and put the ring in the pocket. She came home from work and I surprised her with the coat saying it was an early x-mas present. After some coaxing ("is there anything in the pockets?"), she eventually found the ring, I proposed, and she said "yes". I'm a total dork, but a happy one.

I'm your man.

Jiz and I have this new bro named Reggie who basically has an underground record store in his shed. Everything is categorized and in alphabetical order and he has everything he owns memorized. I got all this stuff for 30 bucks! Original pressing of "london calling" and a Strawberry Alarm Clock record?
Killer sunset this evening on the way home from work...

How emo is a sunset shot in black and white? It was an accident, but I like it.

Killer mail day! Carbonas record from Goner and two copies of Friz' limited 'zine. I think he's just making them for family and tight pals.

I painted this super 80's board yesterday. What can I say- the young dudes dig the femme colors....
