Cooking hot dogs with napalm....

Hadn't been to the good ol' Board Shop in a while....

They've got everything you need.

Check it out, Nate- they even sell tight jeans!

Scott talked me into doing this. It's nothing more than a little scratcher.... Still fun as hell.

Sorry this picture sucks (should've opened the door sooner). Notice how much further his back truck is on than mine. He rips.

All scary rock-n-rolls are dedicated to The Friz. That's how he mangled his arm in Edmond years ago.

Scott- Back Smith. I'd like to think I helped skate coach this into happening.

April 19th is coming up quick for those of you in the know......

You look like you're both pretty groovy.

I got directions to a skate shop in Edmond to buy some bearings, and they had a pretty fun little set up. The mini-ramp section with the spine reminded me of "Daddy-O's", a skatepark in Tulsa in the early 90's- pretty much heaven on earth at the time for me....

I think it usually costs ten bucks to skate (pretty steep), but if you buy something I think you can skate for free. I did.

Weirdsville park in Guthrie, OK.

Sweet wallrider, though.

Just some dude.

I came home one day to this covering the bathroom floor.

Trip out.

Marge got all her childhood barbies out of storage and was washing them. Pretty creepy scene to walk in on.

Lou caught her first mouse. She didn't even kill it, just played with it, and then I threw it outside. Pretty cute shit.

Got a package today from DAF. You know the coozie company that sponsors skaters like Emmanuel Guzman and Justin Strubing? Pretty sweet.

I was supposed to review this stuff in the next Shark Bait, but morale is a little low on starting the new one. Ever since my hard drive went tits up that contained an Ian MacKaye interview, a decent amount of good photos, and some other crap I'd written- I'm having a hard time getting motivated. So who knows when a new one will come out so I'll review it here for now.... They've got you covered- bottles, tall cans, and a huge variety in the 12oz. can department; your hand will be warm and your drink of choice will be cold. They also sent along some sweet stickers, my favorite being "support your local lurker", and a copy of their vid "Goin' Big". It's a pretty damn good vid and cool to see big name dudes like Emmanuel Guzman kick down worthwhile footage for a bro-team. Check them out at www.dafskate.com

I'll spit on your grave and grab my Charles Dickens.

Dalton- bail.
ollie to wheel rub to nice slam...

Zac- frontside grab.

Sweet look down, yo.

Drew- frontside one-eighty.

I slammed super hard this evening. Wah.

You make me die.

They had some games of S.K.A.T.E. at the new shop here today. The shop is called Brothers Boards and Bikes or something like that.
Does anyone remember the deaf kid from the movie "Over the Edge"?

Red tape equals two lanes of dudes flailing their boards around.

Dalton defenitely won a few rounds, but showed up too late to take the whole fucker.

They also had a game of skate on this awesome flat bar. It's like a foot tall and 3 feet long. Drew- 50-50.

Dalton- super smooth tre-flip to worst ground ever.

I was walking up with my camera and saw Dalton land a kickflip and jokingly said, "do it again". He did it again next try and I took this photo. Swayze rips.

A while back I asked Dalton if his parents were really into the movie "Road House" half expecting him to not know what I was talking about. It turns out my accusation was right on the money and he really was named after Patrick Swayze's character as a loveable bouncer. Awesome.

You can't get on my case- when I wear my rock-n-roll face

Some people would comment on how high he went, I'm more concerned about how his ankles felt the next day. Sorry, I have no idea who this kid is.
An out of town shredder was at the park the other day. It was a cool reminder for the locs to step it up.

How do you assholes grow mustaches for an entire month? This is day two and on day three I was over feeling itchy and looking creepy. I truly admire you guys for going through with it, but Mustache March isn't going to be happening for me.

The Brookshires! Kira, Abby, and Troy.

Kira and Abby.

Swishy colors are all the rage.

Here's a pretty funny one for you- I got the new ANKLEPANTS in the mail today and was all excited to read it when I got off work. Then when I get home Mike (Ankle editor) sends me an email asking if I could send it back to him. Apperantly, he lost his master copy from his computer and needed this back so he could scan it back in, make more, and send it out to the people who'd sent in money for the new issue. I liked the way he put it, "Could you help a fellow 'zinester out?" My answer was, "of course". Making a 'zine is a big enough pain in the ass, and without some good friends it's even worse.

Who knows when the next Shark Bait will be done, so you should send a buck or some stamps to my pal Mike and get hip to ANKLEPANTS. If you can't read the address on the envelope, it's
7819 Grey Fox Dr. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 It's on the way, Mike!
