At first I was pretty jazzed on this photo- "holy crap! I got a picture of JOHN DOE!"

His band was actually the band that opened up called Dead Rock West. They were really good and we took an instant liking to this cute gal.

I think he was talking about how funny and lame it was that the PGA tournament was in town.

They played two X songs "white girl" and "the new world" and Cindy(cute gal) did a good job of playing the part of Exene. No one else there (Mercury Lounge) seemed near as jazzed about all this as we were, but X is seriously one of my favorite bands.

The first picture completely sucks now compared to this one. We also talked to the cute girl, Cindy right before this. We told her she did a good job and she said "thanks, you guys were cute!" The reason being is every time she would look over at us we had big goofy grins on and were having a fun time. We aren't rockabilly types trying to seem cool, in other words.

We looked up how many movies and television shows John Doe has been in and it's ridiculous. He was even Winona Ryder's dad in "Great Balls of Fire" about Jerry Lee Lewis. Truthfully, I just knew him as the neat looking dude with the cool voice from X.
