D-I-Y by a R-E-T-A-R-D

I needed something wooden to skate around here so I went to Lowe's and bought some plywood and 2/4s yesterday.
Had the skeleton built pretty quick considering how retarded I am.

Had to give it a test on the cracked out back porch last night. It was tipping over a little bit, so today I built a platform and braced the shit out of it. It's pretty damn fun actually.

Jiz came over this evening and we dragged out this old box and rail. It's pretty awesome to not have to drive out of town and bogart someone else's scene to do some hassle-free pivot fakies and crooked grinds. I haven't had ramps and sliders in my driveway since I was a little kid, it was missed.

If Jiz gave a shit and skated all the time he would be so good. Either way, it's still a blast to roll with him. He was riding the new Smash board I gave him for his birthday.

I'm a man of my word. (them shits is on the way)

Putting all these pages in order and stapling them is a time-consuming bitch. Yet it's a satisfying and fun process that I always look forward to. Here's to another issue. Thanks for all that helped make it happen. Especially Meg and Friz.

hippy free PC.

I don't expect many "dudes" to be too psyched on this post.

Lou was itchy and smelly so we gave her a bath. It was only her second one in her 3 year existence, so she wasn't too happy about it. Now she's soft and happy though.

Deluxe in Tulsa.

Brock, Malto, Gerwer, Busenitz signing posters.
Frank Gerwer

Hen-dawg and Ella Gambino. (ellla dresses like a roller girl like her mom now. cute stuff.)

Battling for a board in the product toss. (that's a girl on the bottom of the pile. she ended up getting it.)

Justin Brock- kickflip over the rail and pyramid (in a line).

Epic! Virgil showed up out of nowhere smelling like patchouli and booze. I have absolutely nothing in common with this guy, but he rules and makes me giggle.

Sean Malto- fs crooked grind.

I was really looking forward to seeing Drehobl, Busenitz, and Ramodetta. No Drehobl, No Ramondetta, and Busenitz didn't really skate, so that was a bit of a let down. Other than that it was a good time and some sweet rollerboardin' went down. Good job to the Boardshop for making it happen.

You should try to hit this.......

gimme shelter

Chrissy Bongload called and said he'd meet up with us at the skatepark. It was good to sit in the sun with him and listen to jokes and filthy stories. This is the first photo I've gotten of him on his bitchin' motorcycle. I think with the beard, gut, leather cool-guy jacket, and shades he pulls the biker look off pretty good. Megan looks on giggling.
Friz showed up in his fancy work clothes and ninja shoes.

I have a legit shot of this photo, but I like this one better. We were shooting this and he kept going about the same height, so I kind of knew where to aim. This one he pulled, but obviously I cut off his head. I just think it's cool that he out-did himself going higher and I have proof. This guy and I have bro'd down more than once, but I can't remember his name. Cool kid, good style.

I turned into a fractal.

Chan Marshall

There's always something cute going on at Poplar Ave. I think one of my neighbors is selling crank and there's always a shirtless guy yelling at his wife across the street, but with these two it's always fun times. (the one that doesn't belong is of me smoking cigarettes and listening to music in my car at work, waiting for concrete to set up. common scene.)
